There are a number of cyber cafes, Ministries and Organizations who are benefited from TSEiNET wireless service.
Currently, TSEiNET is providing wireless internet service using the following radio types.
Speedlan 8000 series radios
BreezeACCESS VL radios
SPEEDLAN 8000 series
The outdoor unit is placed in a pole near the antenna and is connected to the network using an indoor junction box. This small box combines the Ethernet signal and DC power which is then run over a single Teflon jacketed Ethernet cable up to the RF device. That allows up to 300 feet of cable to be run from the connection point to the network up to the RF device, without introducing loss of any radio signal. This increases the effective wireless link distance and reduces or even eliminates the need for an amplifier in the system.
The Indoor units of SPEEDLAN IDUs are mounted inside the building and connect to the outdoor antenna using up to 200 feet of low loss RF antenna cable.
These radios operate in the 2400MHz to 2483.5MHz ISM band, contain 11 user selectable RF
channels. The radios use direct sequence spread spectrum with a QPSK modulation, and employ 11 dB of processing gain.
BreezeACCESS VL radio
Alvarion BreezeACCESS VL is an expansion to Alvarion’s industry leading BreezeACCESS Point-to-multipoint wireless broadband systems, the industry’s only Complete Spectrum™ solution. Designed to be used either with or without existing BreezeACCESS bands, the VL operates within the 5.725 - 5.850 GHz frequency band.
Alvarion BreezeACCESS VL leverages state-of-the-art OFDM technology to achieve higher performance in Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS) conditions, even in congested urban landscapes.
AU – Access Unit (Sector on a Base Station)
The BreezeACCESS VL Base Station Equipment allows remote Subscriber Units to communicate over the wireless infrastructure.
SU – Subscriber Unit (Customer Premise Equipment)
The BreezeACCESS VL Subscriber Units connect PCs and Ethernet equipment at the customer premises.
SU is comprised of:
Indoor cable – four wire cable (not supplied)
IDU – Indoor Unit – A power supply that adds power on an Ethernet cable
Indoor to Outdoor cable – Double shielded eight wire cable 20 meters long
ODU – Outdoor Unit - An aerial mounted on a Radio unit
